The Orange Bowl Committee announced Wednesday efforts to assist those affected by Hurricane Irma in South Florida by contributing $65,000, representing $1 dollar for every ticket available for the 2017 Capital One Orange Bowl, towards various organizations.


The Orange Bowl Family Fun & Fit Day presented by Sunshine Health will take place at Betty T. Ferguson Recreational Complex on Saturday, August 12, 2017, from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The event is free to the general public and will feature more than 60 vendors providing a variety of services and products including free health screenings, fitness classes, interactive demonstrations and essentials for children heading back to school.


The Orange Bowl Leadership Academy marked the end of the 2017 school year with a celebration at Hard Rock Stadium. More than 200 participants, parents, siblings, friends, teachers and administrators were in attendance as guest speaker Judge Florence Taylor-Barner, the first elected Haitian-American Judge in Broward County, inspired the attendees with her story of perseverance and success.
