Join us as we partner with the Dolphins Academy right before our very own Miami Dolphins home opener against the Atlanta Falcons as Dr. Richard Hamilton, the Clinical Director of the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Program for Baptist Hospital educate on concussion safety along with Miami Dolphins Twan Russell, Director of Youth & Community Program, Troy Drayton, Youth & Community Programs Coordinator and Chris Merritt, Head Football Coach, Columbus High School, master USA Football Trainers, instruct coaches on Heads-Up tackling.
Dr. Richard A. Hamilton received his doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University and completed his Internship in Clinical Psychology and Neuropsychology at the Miami Veteran’s Administration Hospital and his post-doctoral Fellowship in Clinical Neuropsychology at the University of Miami/Jackson Medical Center. He has been an Adjunct Professor of Psychology and Psychiatry for the University of Miami. Dr. Hamilton has conducted brain injury research, published articles and presented papers at national and international conferences. He has been recognized as an expert in the field of neuropsychology in state and federal courts in Florida, Maryland and Pennsylvania. Dr. Hamilton is a hospital site reviewer for the Florida Department of Health Brain and Spinal Cord Injury Program and he maintains a private practice in Coral Gables, Florida.
